One of the difficulties that I often encounter in my writing process is poor vocabulary. I always bump into situations in which I don’t know the appropriate vocabulary that should be used when I am writing essays. Vocabulary used in my writing is significantly restricted in comparison to my reading or spoken vocabulary. In addition, this is often due to concerns about spelling accuracy (may be I know how to pronounce the word but I don’t know the exact spelling of it). Therefore, there are times when the sentences or statements that are written cannot convey my ideas exactly.
Besides, I also have trouble generating ideas or elaborating on them when writing essay. Sometimes I will lack of opinion and cannot present sufficient of points in my writing. This trouble becomes worsen in writing tasks that require creativity or critical thinking.
I think the best resolution for my first problem (i.e. limited vocabulary) is to read more and learn more vocabulary. May be I can either study word lists, or sit down and read passages and look up words that I don't know. In these ways, I think I can gain a considerable vocabulary to help in my writing.
For the second problem, I think the number one tool that can help me in writing is practice. I also can try to cultivate the habits of drawing mind map or brainstorming before starting to write my essay in order to generate as much as ideas as possible. As a conclusion, I should practice more in writing to make me myself a better writer.

All in all, you are better than me. I am also encountered with problems such as vocabulary and sentence structure. It seems my English is too naive and simple... Never mind. Let's work hard together.
A good writer today...A better writer tomorrow!! Give more and get more!! Jiayou^^
the biggest problem i encounter in my own writing is also vocabulary, but i think you are much better than me!
hmm, I guess we all have the same problem. My vocabulary is also quite limited.
To improve vocabulary, we need to read more and keep a record of useful words that we encountered. Lets all work hard!!!
vocabulary, vocabulary, same for everyone, especially like us whose mother tongue is not english
therefore, no excuse, the only way is to work harder
the good news is: you are not alone

haha vocabulary is also one of my biggest problem wfor learning english. I think using the langauage itself for day to day conversation will also help a lot in improving our standard of engliish.
Looks like we all have the same difficult. I guess that's the reason why we are asked to do the SRA exercise, right?
You are far more better than me. I believe that u are very good and u will improve in the future.
I would like to leave one more comment. I think you write well. I take it that you're a non-native English speaker.... I would like to see you write about what you have learned through writing, about good writing, such as taking one idea at a time and explaining/exploring it, being coherent (so that your words make sense), and taking the time to think things through before you write them. From what I've read, it looks like you do all this. I think spelling and vocabulary are over-rated, and as long as you are generally understood, that's what matters. Also I think it's very important to consider the intention you have in writing, which in your case looks like to educate and illuminate. I've seen some people who write just to shock. I don't like that myself.
I would suggest just reading what a wide range of people write to get a sense of all the ways we can express ourselves. Thanks for listening.
